St Saviour Chalk Farm

St Saviour's Future

St Saviour's Church, Chalk Farm: An Introduction

St Saviour's Church, located in Chalk Farm,
is a striking example of Victorian ecclesiastical
architecture, built in 1856 to serve the growing
population of the area.

Designed with a distinctive Gothic Revival style,
it has been a focal point for worship,
community gatherings and outreach
for over a century and a half.

Today, the church is not only cherished as a place
of spiritual significance but also as a heritage
and community asset, listed for its architectural
and historic value but with a small and aging
congregation keen to bring changes to the church
so that it can better welcome the community
and provide space for the creatives
of the community.

However, the passage of time has taken its toll on the building's fabric,
with significant structural issues now threatening its future.

To address these problems and ensure that St Saviour's continues to stand
and serve the community for generations to come, a substantial sum of
£200,000 is urgently needed for essential repairs and preservation work.

This restoration effort is vital to safeguard the church as a community hub
and a symbol of continuity and hope in Chalk Farm.

As we look to having a dedicated Priest to serve the parish
there are three questions that we are asking our community:
